Financial privacy notice

Financial companies choose how they share personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some, but not all, sharing. This notice describes LoanTree's current baseline practices.

The information LoanTree collects can include Social Security number, income, assets, account balances, payment and transaction history, credit history and scores, employment information, mortgage rates and payments, and other information needed for a mortgage transaction.

LoanTree collects information when you submit an inquiry, apply for financing, provide contact or employment information, upload documents, give us income or mortgage information, communicate with us, or authorize us to obtain information from a credit bureau or another source.

• Everyday business purposes, such as processing a transaction, maintaining an account or application, responding to legal process, or reporting to credit bureaus.
• Service providers and transaction participants that help process, underwrite, close, fund, insure, sell, or service a requested loan.
• Fraud prevention, security, risk control, consumer disputes, regulatory reporting, and other disclosures permitted or required by law.

You cannot limit disclosures needed to process a requested transaction or otherwise permitted or required by law.

LoanTree does not sell nonpublic personal information, share it with nonaffiliates for their own marketing, or share mobile opt-in information and consent for unrelated third-party marketing. LoanTree will provide an updated notice and any legally required choice before adopting a practice that permits consumer limitation.

LoanTree maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect nonpublic personal information. Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information for an authorized business purpose and are required to protect it.
